Data-driven decision-making – Mission (Im)possible? Breakfast talk with DECISION ARCHITECT Reto Blum
11 June 2026, 08:00 – 10:30 · Past event — no registration

Data is everywhere today – yet good decisions remain rare.
Amid dashboards, reports and endless rounds of consultation, many organisations lose precisely what matters: clarity and speed. This breakfast talk at the data:room shows how data can genuinely help us make better decisions – and why, ultimately, it is always people who make the difference. With a thought-provoking talk by DECISION ARCHITECT Reto Blum and an open fishbowl discussion, we will put insights directly into practice.
Together with Reto Blum, the format's two initiators, Upinfo and occursus, bring three perspectives to the breakfast talk: data literacy, spaces for decision-making and decision psychology. At the data:room in Hard on Lake Constance, fact-based systems meet human behaviour.
We are united by a shared question:
How can we make better decisions – faster, based on facts and with greater confidence – without getting lost in analysis paralysis?
The format is deliberately designed around dialogue. A well-grounded introductory talk offers fresh perspectives and food for thought. In the moderated fishbowl discussion that follows, participants will reflect on what they have heard, question it and apply it to their own practice. No one-way lectures. No theory without application. Instead, genuine exchange as equals.
Because if we cannot trust one another, we cannot trust our data either.
Who should register?
Managing directors, leaders, those responsible for projects and data, and anyone who no longer wants to leave decisions to chance or gut feeling. A morning for everyone who is not looking for more information – but wants to make better decisions.
